This incredible bit of gear is the Adventure Kings Plus MPPT Solar Charge controller! This 20A solar charge controller is lithium compatible with dedicated multi-stage charging profiles for different battery types, has an advanced display that shows real time power stats and can accept up to 46V of solar input in standard conditions! It also offers a huge amount of customisation so it can suit just about any setup – AGM or lithium, 12V or 24V right up to 780W of solar input with a 20A charge rating – and it has a 3 year warranty.
SELECTABLE BATTERY CHARGING PROFILES LITHIUM + AGM + MORE
The Kings Plus MPPT Solar Charge controller has you covered for most battery chemistries on the market! It’s lithium compatible and even has specific profiles for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries like the Adventure Kings range, plus 24V Lithium Iron Phosphate as well as 3 different profiles for lithium nickel cobalt manganese. Of course there are Sealed, GEL and Flooded battery settings too. With Sealed being the default – perfect for adventure Kings AGM batteries.
ABLE TO ACCEPT UP TO 780W OF SOLAR POWER!
For the solar input side, it will accept up to 390W of power from 12V nominal solar panels and 780W from 24V panels. With over 98% max conversion efficiency and less than 15 milliamps of standby power it’s able to efficiently and effectively charge your batteries!
EVERYTHING YOU NEED INCLUDED IN THE BOX
In the box you get the MPPT Charge Controller, a pair of Kings Quick Connect Plugs with double insulated 6mm2 wire that are compatible with all Adventure Kings solar panels with the same quick connect plugs, PLUS a temperature sensor that plugs into the unit. Without the temperature sensor plugged in, the unit will continue to function and will default all settings to 25°C. Below the terminal cover there are screw terminals that accept up to 16mm2 or 6AWG wiring – as well as an RS485 communications port that allows for data logging or connection to a computer by attaching optional RS485 compatible components.
ADVANCED, CUSTOMISABLE DISPLAY TO KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR SYSTEM
Once connected you’ll see the Advanced Backlit LCD display light up and start to cycle through all your solar info – with data coming from your solar input on the top row, power going to your battery on the second row and any power being used by the load circuit on the bottom row. The screen will show Volts, amps and watts coming from your solar panels, plus it’ll record the total amount of power the panels have supplied in watt hours too – ideal for permanent setups! The battery information shows battery voltage, charging current in Amps, ambient temperature at the sensor and battery capacity as a percentage.
CLEAR DISPLAY OF THE INFO YOU NEED
The icons on the left of the screen show basic charging or discharging information and There are also LED indicator lights on the left hand side of the screen that show the basic status of each circuit and indicate if any errors or faults occur in your system. Below the screen you have 5 buttons that allow you to easily cycle through the information on the Home Screen, focus more closely on one set of parameters, adjust the settings and quickly and easily turn the load circuit on and off.
USER-CUSTOMISABLE DISPLAY SCREEN
This Solar Charge controller allows you to customise the home screen and all your settings to perfectly match your setup – you can let the info cycle, or choose to stay on one screen and select the info you want to see! For example, charge current coming from the solar panel, battery percentage and load voltage (which basically tells you the battery voltage!)

Measuring in at 217mm tall, 158mm wide and 56.5mm deep with a solid heat sink and 13 different Built-in protection features including over power, short circuit, low temperature cutoff for lithium batteries and over temperature it’s compact enough to use for a portable setup and ideal to use for permanent setups.
